    Using a brand new EZServe with 1.42. I can set up timers just fine. I can test devices manually in view/manage areas. But, the timers don’t do anything. I’m at a loss – what am I doing wrong? 😥

    Maurice,

    Sorry about your problems. A couple of questions

    1) Did you setup your timezone?
    Go to the setup area, and select your timezone. If it is showing the timezone as correct, change the timezone, apply it, and then change it back to the correct value. This is a bug that happens rarely – will be fixed in 1.50.
    2) Did you setup your location?
    Go to the setup area, you can locate your latitude / longitude and then apply it. This is only required for sunrise / sunset.
    3) Have the timers ever worked and just work occasionally, or do they never work.

    Hi,

    Yes I have set up my timezone and location numerous times, restarting and resetting numerous times. No joy. The time is right, the timezone is right, even the sunrise/sunset times look good.

    The timers have never worked, so I suspect I did something wrong in the setup. Thanks.

    Can you email me your timer.xml file – it can be found under backup / restore. Select backup, go tot he file, right click to save as, and then email
    to

    paul at simplehomenet.com

    I will take a look at it and get back to you.

    Maurice, are your timers controlling insteon devices or x10? I’ve had no problems with the timers controlling insteon, but I’ve never been able to get them to work with x10.

    We have found a bug, it appears to be related to X10 timing – we are going to have this fixed in 1.50.

    OK, no problem, thanks for chaseing it down. If you want a beta site let me know – I also own an X10 analyzer.

    We are releasing a version 1.43 to resolve the outstanding X10 issues, and a PLM communication issue.

    This release does not have scene management or holiday settings, that is still targeted for 1.50.

    My timers fired tonight after 1.43 and no PLM errors so far. Good job, guys!
