    Factory reset in Simplehomenet Utility V1.3 locks up the EZX10RF.
    After a Factory reset the LED on the EZX10RF goes off and never back on. Then it does not respond to any commands untill unplugged and you wait maybe 30 seconds then reconnect it.
    I have the SDM3 Logs saved from my tests and exact steps I was using.
    Basically as the factory reset starts; you start getting Insteon reattempt messages; then a Timeout message and even restarting the utility and not cycling the power on the EZX10RF will result in no responses from the unit. 🙁

    OK will send them. I also tried a few different circuits and outlets in the home as their could have been a bad reception area.
    Also I am using a 2414S serial PLC and have found that the Serial ones are at least 2 to 3 time faser than their USB version. I doubt this is a factor but something to think about. No 8 byte padding to USB messages needed.

    More tests. Used a 2414U USB PLC and the EZX10RF directly in the pass through outlet. Same thing. LED goes out on a restore factory configuration and is that way untill you remove the power.
    Sorry the title of the post may have been misleading.

    I apologize for the lack of updates. I believe we have identified the source – expect in release v1.4 the correction. ETA on the release is early to mid next week.

    I am sorry for the inconvenience, in the meantime it will be necessary to use the hardbutton for resetting the module.

    Thanks for the data.
    No big problem as it seems you are busy with V1.4 and it looks like it has fixed a few problems. From the posts I have read.

    I regret to inform you nothing has change with the V1.4 of the utility and my Restore Factory Configuration problem. The BLUE LED on the EZX10RF still goes out and the utility reports a “Insteon Message Timeout” error. Stays out for untill unplugged. I waited maybe 4 minutes and it never went back on and no responses untill disconnected and then reconnected to the AC power.
    Utility reports rev 12 on the EZX10RF
    Labels on the rear:
    v1.0 0697
    2607 rev. 1.3 FIRM 52
    2414B 2106
    ID: 05.92.25
    Tried a few outlets in the house even had the EZX10RF with an AccessPoint in its pass through outlet.
    PLC bing used is a 2414S
    SDM3-308
    Tried a 2414U same problem though more retries as I expected. Any 2414U on my computer has USB problems and is 2 to 3 times slower than a 2414S serial Unit.
    Also noted the Blue LED on the side whan crashed will light Bright if the linking button is pushed.

    I could not find a way to save the traffic data. I did email you four ziped SDM3-308 logs. EZX10RF7 and 8 are from last night. EZX10RF9 and 10 are from about 15 minutes ago. Todays was the EZX10RF in the PLCs passthrough outlet.

    Thank you Al and all the rest of the Simplehomenet crew. I received my RMA and the process is now started. I will be very happy whan the new EZX10RF is received and hopefully resets fine.
