I am writing now because I am having issues with my ZBMLC30 device. I have had it connected to a SmartThings hub for over a year without issue but now it seems like every time the unit (ZBMLC30) experiences a power loss that it looses its connection to the hub. I have to basically reset the Smartenit device to factory, and then rebind it to the SmartThings zigbee network.

When the device has experienced a power outage and comes back it looks like it thinks it is still connected to its master but commands from the master doesn’t go through. After a factory reset everything works again.

What do you suggest me to do? Is there anything that I can do or is this a device that is just not working anymore? I would hate to have to toss it since I paid $150 or so for it a few years ago.

    Thanks,

    Thank you for your message!

I emailed you back but we can put the message here for everyone else’s benefit as well.

To clarify for my understanding, are you saying that only after a year, when there is a power cycle it drops from the network and previous power cycles would not experience this…or did you not have power cycles before? Has anything changed in the SmartThings hub firmware that you’re aware of?

Do you have the MAC address for that MLC, so I can check the firmware version you have…unless you can read the firmware version via SmartThings and let me know what that is.
