I noticed a couple of things that would make the SimpleHomeNet Utility easier to use with the EZX10RF unit. (I don’t know if any of these are possible):
1- It would help a lot in troubleshooting if the X-10 filter was NOT applied to the “Last X-10 Code Received” window. It is more useful to see all X-10 signals received so you can tell if a problem is related to the transmitter (sending something other than you thought it was sending).
2- It would be nice if the EZX10RF Insteon ID was pre-populated with the last ID you worked on. Most people will only have one of these units so there should not be a need to re-enter this each time you start the program.
3- Same is true for selecting the interface device when the utility starts. If you have a PLC then you should be able to select it once and the program should always start with PLC selected until you change it again.
