The linking features are implemented as of version 2.0. Linking and unlinking procedures are expalined on page 2 of a new quick-guide just posted in the downloads section of our website.
A revised utility will be posted in a couple of days that will let you interrogate the EZRain for its firmware version. The units also have a sticker indicating the PLM revision (should be 2.4 or above) and the EZRain revision (2.0 or above).Once again, this is a new feature, not a correction to a bug but we’ll be happy to upgrade your unit if you send it to us postage paid. An RMA can be obtained by e-mailing to sales@simplehomenet.com.
Only product shipped from us or from our distributors after this week will have the new firmware.

AnonymousInactiveApril 21, 2007 at 6:07 pmPost count: 4I received my EZRain yesterday and started setting it up today. I have linking for zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 all working from two different KeyPadLinc’s. That’s all working fine. I also have program 1 and 2 linked and working from the two KPL’s. What I can’t figure out how to do is link a button on the KPL’s to the “Inhibit” function. I have a button on each KPL labeled as “Rain Shut Off”. If I try to link these buttons to the EZRain and press the button on the EZRain 13 times (I guessed on this) the link is successful, but instead of activating the Inhibit function they activate zone 1. Can this be done? If so, how would I link a button to the Inhibit function on the EZRain?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have not seen how, or if, the Inhibit and Skip Back/Forward commands are implemented using insteon. I would also be very much interested in finding out how this can done.
AnonymousInactiveApril 29, 2007 at 4:04 pmPost count: 256Our apologies for the late reply.
The response to group commands (those sent by a controller like the KeypadLinc) are only implemented for zones 1-8 and Programs 1-4 (corresponding to the number of taps 1-12 that are entered while linking). We did not have the foresight to implement the additional commands of “skip valve” and “inhibit”. We’ll consider those and any additional requests on any future firmware release. As it was pointed out, the inhibit function can be implemented with X10 or with a direct Insteon command.
Thanks for the suggestion!
