How do I find out whether my Onkyo Receiver can receive codes from the EZUIRT? I have an Onkyo TX-SR875 here is the manual http://filedepot.onkyousa.com/Files/own_manuals/TX-SR805_875_B_En.pdf?CFID=1658429&CFTOKEN=85504388&jsessionid=f0302e7a311991fd942bc614bd6b2112e407

I can’t seem to find out whether it supports the codes that EZUIRT is compatible with and I would like to know before I buy it.

    Thanks,
    Steve

I found nothing in the product manual on IR code format. A search of the internet using Google indicates Onkyo uses NEC codes which would be compatible with the EZUIRT. HOWEVER, i suggest confirming that with the manufacturer or sales location. Not all information on the internet is accurate when not from the manufacturer which these hits were not.

Thanks Grif, will probably be hard to get a definitive answer from Onkyo. I will post here if I find out anything.

I added the Onkyo TX-SR875 as a device to my Harmony remote. The EZUIRT recognizes the buttons assigned codes for this device. They are identified as NEC Ext by the SHN Utility when it reads the last IR code received by the EZUIRT. Not a guarantee the actual Onkyo remote would be recognized but I think it confirms the use of NEC codes.

Great thanks. Now I just have to determine if this is a smart thing to purchase given its price point and its apparent lack of updates/sales.

As always, thanks for the great help and support.
