Did a hard reset now I can’t access. Something I should know?
Thanks

EdAnonymousInactiveAugust 8, 2008 at 8:17 pmPost count: 1001I did a Reset under Server Admin, relogged in and then uploaded the 1.54/1.55 image successfully. I’ve had no problem logging in and running the 1.54/1.55 image. Added devices, created an Area and assigned devices to the Area.
I am running with the default User Name and Password. Connecting to EZSrve with the SHN Utility indicates EZSrve is functional. Using the SHN Utility, select the EZSrve /EZBridge tab, then the Control tab. Does the lower Data Received window show the following ….
GetRevisionRevision 01.54
Also be sure there are NOT multiple Browser sessions attempting to connect to EZSrve. There was a comment in the Release Notes that only a single Browser session can be established with 1.54/1.55.
Do you get the login screen and cannot login or the login screen is not displayed. If the login screen is not displayed, what is seen when entering the EZSrve IP address into the browser.

EdAnonymousInactiveAugust 8, 2008 at 9:07 pmPost count: 1001That is great. Do you know what action resolved the problem. Could be useful to the next person who encounters the same situation.
AnonymousInactiveAugust 8, 2008 at 11:52 pmPost count: 6I still can’t access my EZServe through the network after a hard reset (hold button for 7 seconds). I get “page can not be displayed” I have tried the SimpleHomeNet utility but this does not work either.
Suggestions?

AnonymousInactiveAugust 9, 2008 at 12:18 amPost count: 1001Try this. Bring up the SHN Utility, DO NOT Connect. Select the EZSrve/EZBridge tab, then the Configuration tab. Click on Upgrade Module. Enter the location of the image.bin file. If the upload is successful, a popup is displayed in a minute or two stating “Upgrade Complete. Wait 2 minutes prior to reconnection attempt.”
Wait 2 minutes, start a new browser session and follow your normal process for logging in.
I just did this and it worked but I have not done a Set button reset of my EZSrve. I always use the EZSrve Server Configuration screen to issue the Reset.

AnonymousInactiveAugust 9, 2008 at 12:53 amPost count: 1001What prompted the Set button reset action. I started with the assumption that you had a working EZSrve before you did the Set button reset. What image level was working before the Set button reset. Did the upload work and you still cannot login or the upload did not work. The only other thing I can think of is to just unplug the EZsrve for about 30 seconds. Plug it back in without pressing the Set button. Unless someone has another idea, I think a call to Simplehomenet support is the next step.
AnonymousInactiveAugust 9, 2008 at 1:53 amPost count: 408Please feel free to email me or call us on Monday if you prefer.
For a reset, please try this technique:
Unplug the module from the AC power supply.
Plug the module in.
Wait 3-4 seconds, then press the reset button (do not press the PLM button).
Hold the button for a period of approximately 15 seconds. Then release.
Wait 3-4 minutes for the reset process to complete.
The module will reset to DHCP by default.
If that does not work – please contact us.

Device is EZServe #5010L

AnonymousInactiveAugust 9, 2008 at 8:48 pmPost count: 14The reason I couldn’t connect via http after the admin page reset is I had closed the tab but not the whole browser. After closing and openning the browser it worked.
Thanks,
