It has come to my attention that when trying to link input 4 using the manual link method of tapping the set button 4 times to select input 4, the LED may remain on steady with the 4th press, not allowing you to make the selection of that input possible.
This happens because there needs to be a delay of at least 1 second between presses, otherwise the unit will not see the presses as clearly defined for the input selected.
So, to manually link Input 4…press the set button for 10-12 seconds, after which the LED will go out…then press the set button 4 times, giving about 1-2 seconds time between each press, then press and hold the set button for 4 seconds to continue linking to an INSTEON device…then follow the steps outlined in the manual.
