Greetings!
I personally would like to see support added in Smartenit for the current Insteon “HUB” product line. A local big box store nearby has begun carrying this and others. So far I have had one of the IP cameras as well as the hidden door closure sensor that were “recognized” by the gateway’s auto discovery, but returned invalid responses from the devices when adding them. The system currently works perfectly with several insteon and X10 devices throught out home.
Thanks and regards.

We do not support Insteon Camera’s yet, but we do support the hidden door sensor. Is that the only device you are having trouble with?

Thank you for your message!
Unfortunately, with the Insteon Hub, the onus of interoperability lies with Insteon. We implement their commands and API in our products and provide the command set for any custom commands, but there is nothing more we can do make our devices work with the Hub. We’ve communicated with Insteon multiple times that the desires for our mutual customers is to be able to control Smartenit products from the Hub, but we can only wait on them to do that.
I would recommend making this request to them directly. I am aware that some of their technical support staff have the similar belief that it is on us to make our products work with the Hub, but that simply is not true.
I apologize for any inconvenience and we’re looking forward to the Hub’s integration of our products as much as you are!
Thank you for your interest in our products!

Re-reading your question, I’m not sure if we answered it correctly. Can you clarify if you’re asking for support for Insteon products in our gateway or for our products to be supported in the Insteon Hub? I’m not sure what you’re referring to by “Hub devices” as the “Hub” is the name of their gateway and it supports the majority of Insteon devices manufactured by Smarthome, but they haven’t added support for our devices.
If you’re looking for Insteon device support in our gateway, we already have support for the majority of Insteon’s products as well as ours – http://smartenit.com/supported-devices/
Thanks much!

Firstly I should apologize for the vague post as well as the delay in replying to you both.
I do not intend to use the “hub” product itself, however the devices marketed along with it I had assumed would work with my RasPi system already in place. It seems now that the micro hidden door switch should work, but apparently there is a tech issue.
AnonymousInactiveNovember 3, 2016 at 6:42 pmPost count: 146Hello again,
The devices that work with the hub are not necessarily devices that will work with our ZBPServer which is available for the Raspberry Pi. We have the list of compatible products on our website – http://smartenit.com/supported-devices/
What is the “tech issue” that you’re seeing with the sensor? Is it not adding to the gateway?
AnonymousInactiveDecember 15, 2016 at 1:25 amPost count: 6While I’m not sure how it happened, There were actually two wireless micro door sensors that were added successfully but never appeared in the UI. Subsequent attempts at adding them would return either “incorrect value returned” type of error or alternately return a “Device is already present” error. Performing a reset of zbpserver and re-adding all devices got everything working smoothly again. I only have 11 devices currently, so it wasn’t a big deal.
