I want to use the unit to sense the status of two garage doors.
I understand how to wire it up to contact switches .. but now I want to use HomeSeer and X10 to sense and control the status.
I need to understand how to set up I1 and I2 to a house code of “K” and what unit # I1 and I2 would be (I do not see it in the material provided with the unit.
tanx.. Don

The output relays can be controlled with Insteon or X10 messages. The EZIO2X4 Quick Start Guide describes the Set button sequence to establish the X10 House code and enable X10 control of the relays. Unit 1 controls relay 1 and Unit 2 controls relay 2.

If I understand your response, then the only solution is to create an Insteon device .. as the “I1” or “I2” facilities will not have an equivalent X10 status .. so you will not see if I1 goes on or off ..
Correct?

AnonymousInactiveMarch 19, 2011 at 10:03 pmPost count: 1001There is no X10 message associated with an Input changing state.
Define an Insteon device and link Input 1 and Input 2 to the powerline controller used by Homeseer. If done with the Set button process the EZIO2X4 Input is a Controller and the powerline controller is a Responder. When done with the Set button the EZIO2X4 configuration is done automatically. Input 1 state change generates a Group 1 On/Off. Input 2 state change generates a Group 2 On/Off.
I’m not familiar with Homeseer. It may have a method to do the linking and EZIO2X4 configuration.

Thanks for your help.
