I’m pretty new to EZSrve and its HTML interface. Is there a way to create a group containing only x10 devices? I have tried creating a group when I add the device, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Groups only apply to Insteon devices.

What are you hoping to accomplish? Are you looking for a single action to trigger an X10 scene?

Yes. I have a mixed x10/Insteon network, and up until now I’ve only been using the Insteon devices by their x10 address. Do I have to create a separate macro triggered by the same x10 command for the x10 only devices, or is there a way to group them?

I didn’t see a response to this question. I am trying to do the same. Right now I only have 30 X10 devices so this isn’t a HUGE problem but if I want things to be a bit more complex or add a few more devices this will become a headache. Oh, and the real trouble is that I have to create both ON and OFF macros. So a single X10 Scene with 12 items would require 24 Macros.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Is it possible to set them to unique house codes for groups? You can do an all-on, all-off for a given house.

If this will not work, we are considering providing the means to send a command to an entire configured area, so you can add X10 devices into an area, and then send a command.

HUGE enhancement. This would be great.

Another option I would like would be to allow a user to add one or more items to the triggered items list. This is a bit more granular but the benefit is that I would not have to create a large number of “sub-ares”. For example:

    AREA: Great Room
    SUB-AREA: GR Lights
    SUB-AREA: GR Outlets
    SUB-AREA: GR Fan

    Instead I could say,
    IF M01=ON THEN
    DESK LIGHT=ON,Delay=0
    PLANT OUTLET=ON,Delay=1
    FAN LIGHT=ON,Delay=2
    FAN LIGHT=DIM,Delay=3
    ENDIF

Without this granular control I would have to turn ON all lights in the Great Room Area and then create a event/macro to turn off the ones I don’t want (only 2 of them).

    [UPDATE]
BTW: It would be helpful if this was for Timers, Events, and Macros. That way I could do the same there.
    [/UPDATE]

    Thanks,
    Steve

I agree completely. This would be a very welcome enhancement.
