I am using an STPS3-12 sensor from Embedded Data Systems. This sensor is based on the DS18B20. I have tried it in both powered and parisitic modes. Using the SimpleHomeNet Utility I only get single digit readings. I get a 2 at room temperature, a 4 at about body temperature, and up to an 8 when I place the sensor near a 40w light bulb. I tracks up and down with temperature changes, just not the expected values. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Since the DS18B20 is a 12 bit sensor, does the EZIO8SA configure the sensor for 8 bit on power up?
