    Hi:

Just tried to make a mix of X-10 and Insteon devices respond to a single X-10 RF remote button. The X-10 devices were OK until I added the Insteon link, at which time the Insteon device was fine but the X-10’s stopped responding (even though there appeared to be X-10 activity on the line – blinking LEDs on the SmartHome X-10 ApplianceLincs)

Did I miss something or is this expected behavior?

    thanks

re-reading the “Quick-Start Guide” today (the ezx10rf was fighting me quite a bit and I wanted to be sure I was doing it right)…

“Depending on how and X10 code is set up with EZX10RF, the unit __either__ (my emphasis) rebroadcasts the X10 signal, sends and INSTEON broadcast message or sends and INSTEON group command”

It sure would be nice to be able to mix device type though…..

If you mean have one X10 address do one thing, another a different thing, and yet another the third type of fucntion, you can do this. The code record is unique to a specific X10 address and can be made to respond as pass-thru, Insteon group, or Insteon broadcast of status change.

Actually what I was hoping for is for one X-10 RF to trigger an Insteon device AND be forwarded along so that X-10 devices at that address would also see the command, but the docs indicate that it is an OR situation.

    thanks
