I’ve read through some of the documentation, but I’m still unclear on a few things. Can I link each button of an 8 button keypadlinc to each of the 8 zones out-of-the-box? For the time being, I would like just simple manual control – press button 1 on the keypadlinc, zone 1 turns on. Push button 1 again, zone 1 turns off. Do I need additional software to accomplish this? I use PowerHome – does it have this functionality?
Thanks!

When it becomes available you’ll have a choice to send the unit back for a free firmware upgrade. We’ll include the shipping to send it back but not the one to receive it. An RMA will have to be issued by us.

I’m looking at options to control my sprinklers, and have until late spring/early summer when the rain stops to decide.
Thank you.

Along with using PowerHome I want to have manual control at the KeyPads without using X10. Is this firmware ready yet and if I ordered one today would it ship with this firmware installed?
Thanks guys….your products are great!

Thanks,

-GeorgeAnonymousInactiveMarch 15, 2007 at 5:33 amPost count: 6Just a final check before I order – Is the EZRain shipping with the new firmware to enable simple control from a keypadlinc? If I order from Smarthome (I have a credit with them), will I receive a unit with the upgraded firmware or do I need to order from simplehomenet to ensure the upgraded firmware?
Thank you!
AnonymousInactiveMarch 16, 2007 at 3:35 amPost count: 408To ensure you get the latest firmware for the EZRain, I would recommend you order direct from Simplehomenet.
AnonymousInactiveMarch 23, 2007 at 3:47 amPost count: 12I just ordered and received my EZRain Controller, however from Smarthome.com. I’m having problems with it, so I came here to look for answers and found this thread. How do I know if I have the one that supports this Keypadlinc use? I purchased this and a keypadlinc with the idea of using them together.
Thanks!
Jason
AnonymousInactiveMarch 23, 2007 at 7:00 pmPost count: 256Please see other thread for an answer. In all fairness, the keypad linking is a new feature that was not advertised when you purchased your EZRain from our distributor. However, we’ll be happy to upgrade it if you send it back postage paid.
AnonymousInactiveMarch 24, 2007 at 6:18 amPost count: 12Can you tell me what the current version of the firmware is? How do I see if I have that version? I just received it from Smarthome, so if it is not the current version, I’ll simply return it to them. Thanks for the help!

I have not yet installed the utility, but I read the documentation and saw no mention of a keypadlinc. Could someone please provide basic setup instructions? Thanks very much
