2-Relay/4-Input Insteon/X10 Controller

Monitor and control small devices, alarms, and events using incoming signals from sensors by setting up a centralized EZIO2x4.  It can be wired to 4 incoming signals and can trigger its 2 wired outputs and a host of linked Insteon devices.  You can eliminate complicated wiring problems and create a responsive home control system that is accessible from your phone, tablet, and web browser.

Smart Possibilities

  • Trigger lamps and overhead lights in response to detected motion
  • Use Insteon keypads or switches to control multiple non-Insteon devices
  • Sound an alert or chime when your garage door is opened

Description

  • Simple and rapid installation
  • Two opto-isolated digital inputs (3-30VDC)
  • Two inputs configurable as digital (0-1VDC for ON, 3-5VDC for OFF) or analog (10 bit resolution, 0-1023 points)
  • Two normally open relays (contacts rated .5A at 30VDC or 120VAC – resistive loads)
  • Acts as an Insteon sender with each of the 4 inputs able to trigger a group on/off command or broadcast message
  • A timer from 1 second to 255 minutes can be set on each input to delay the command sent in the ON to OFF transition
  • Configurable to send Insteon commands or broadcast messages at programmable thresholds (alarm points) on the analog inputs
  • A timer from 1 second to 255 minutes can be set on each relay to allow momentary pulsing or unattended turn off
  • Responds to Insteon and X10 commands to turn on or off each or any combination of the 2 relays
  • Extensive command set for maximum programming flexibility
  • Acts as a repeater of powerline Insteon signals
  • 2-way communications for high reliability
  • Equipped with usable pass-through outlet (not shown)
  • Smartenit app accessible
  • 1-year Smartenit warranty

Details

EZIO2x4 is a centralized input and output controller, managing incoming signals from up to 4 motion sensors, window/ door sensors and more while providing wired control over 2 small devices  itself in addition to its ability to send out Insteon commands.  This puts your input/ output control at the point of need, eliminating wiring nightmares.  You can now use simple sensors like magnetic door contacts to trigger multiple home automation devices at once or use your wireless keypads and remotes to control small electrical loads.

Triggering any of EZIO2x4 inputs sends out an Insteon group command, capable of controlling multiple home elements at the same time.  These inputs can be wired to things like magnetic contacts, motion sensors etc. and can also be linked to Insteon controllers like switches or keypads.  So you can broadcast the same Insteon group command via a contact closure or Insteon controller.  EZIO2x4’s outputs can be wired to small 3A at 120VAC devices and loads.  These outputs may be linked to Insteon or X10 commands, allowing you to control non-Insteon devices via Insteon or X10 commands.

In addition, EZIO2x4 is supported on our free iSmartenit app, so when it is part of a home automation system anchored by a Smartenit gateway, you can trigger its inputs and outputs right from your phone, tablet, or web browser.  Through iSmartenit, you can even include EZIO2x4 inputs and outputs in custom programs, responding to the status of other devices in your system.  This makes it possible to use home automation commands and elements to control  multiple wired devices, facilitating the setup of a energy efficient, cost-saving home control system.

Supported Protocols Insteon & X10 ZigBee & Insteon Insteon, X10 and WiFi
Controls Each output can be linked to an Insteon group to be controlled by an Insteon scene controller (Ex. Keypadlinc, Switchlinc, etc.)
INSTEON ‘All-Link’ A snapshot of the outputs can be recalled with a single group command (i.e. respond to a switch or a button on a Keypadlinc, ControlLinc, etc.)
Timers Timers from 1 second to 255 minutes can be set up to turn off each output

Ratings 30VDC/120VAC, 0.5A 24VDC/120VAC, 3A 30VDC/120VAC, 0.5A
Output Uses General purpose contact closures of small loads limited by relay voltage and current rating. General purpose contact closure of larger loads limited by relay voltage and current rating. General purpose contact closures of small loads limited by relay voltage and current rating.
Inputs EZIO2X4 IoT8-Z IoT4R
Controls For the digital (opto isolated) inputs, each input is ON when when current flows through the input or OFF when current is absent. Changes from OFF to ON and from ON to OFF can be used to control other ZigBee or Insteon devices. For analog inputs, voltage levels translate to points and On/Off transitions can be regulated by programmable trip points thresholds.
Timers Delayed OFF commands (from 1 to 255 minutes) programmable on each input. This timer resets (starts over) if a new ON command is received.
