Technically, this is probably in the wrong forum, but I didn’t know where else would be a good place.

I recently got a Rainbee16, and was excited to give Zigbee a try. I can pair it with my Harmony Gateway pretty easily and it seems to work fine — for a bit. From between a couple hours or a few days, it seems to lose it’s “pairing” with the Gateway and I have to re-pair it. After re-pairing, it works fine again — for a bit. I don’t seem to have to delete the item from the gateway, just re-pair and the old device name picks it up.

Is there any debug I can do to see if it’s the fault of the Gateway, the Rainbee16, or me?

    Hi David,

That is interesting, can you try connecting the follwoing to check the Gateway logs:
    — Download and then Open PuTTY
    — Select Telnet and input the ip address of the Gateway. Click Open.
    — The username=root and password=Smartenit

Let me know how it goes.

I sent you an email with the log.

But, can you tell me what the “Leave Network and Rejoin” and “Identify” commands actually do?

    Sorry just saw this post.

“Leave Network and Rejoin”: Only applicable to Zigbee devices. Tells the device to leave the network, and then rejoin the network again. This can be used in some cases for troubleshooting.

“Identify” Also applicable only to Zigbee devices. Tells the device to identify itself, this can be in case of Rainbee through a specific LED pattern. This is very helpful when you have an array of similar devices and want to troubleshoot or “Identify” a specific device.
