I got the new app and was quite happy to get my motion detector linked in! However I’m having a hard time getting the mini-remote to link in. specifically I want to build a wizard so I can use the remote to control an X10 lamp module.
I was able to link the remote but I couldn’t do anything with it in the app. What am I doing wrong?DhawalMemberMarch 14, 2014 at 4:25 pmPost count: 259
Which Gateway are you using, Raspberry Pi?DhawalMemberMarch 14, 2014 at 5:26 pmPost count: 259
Can you please try upgrading your ZBPServer through the App. Login through the APP. Goto Settings where you see the IP address, then click on the “i ” button on the top. You should see an Upgrade button.
Also when adding or creating a scene with the battery operated devices, try pushing the button to keep the device awake, so that all links are saved properly.
Let me know how that goes.jonglauserMemberMarch 18, 2014 at 10:24 pmPost count: 11
After the upgrade I successfully linked my motion detector and mini-remote. However I couldn’t figure out how to link the remote to an X10 module. I can’t get scenes to function at all in the app/Pi either X10 or Insteon.
What I’d like is for one pair of buttons (the up and down buttons of scene A) to turn an X10 lamp on/off. Can I set that up?grif091MemberMarch 19, 2014 at 4:03 amPost count: 1001
The Mini Remotes do not support X10. Check the Mini Remote User Guide page 12 …
X10 Support – NoneDhawalMemberMarch 19, 2014 at 4:50 amPost count: 259
@grif091: The new versions of Smartenit Gateways bridge different protocols. So users can create a Scene with Insteon Mini Remote as controller and Zigbee, X10, WiFi and Insteon devices as Responders.
@Jonglauser: we found an issue in the zbpserver related to the problem you mentioned, we will release an update with this fix very soon.
