If I’ve got enough dual band items to get a good mesh (which I think I do), will this:

work with the Gateway? I remember some questions about a new-ish control format, and I don’t see any Insteon sensors in the category field when trying to add a device.

    Hi,

Do you already have one or are you planning to get one soon?

If you already have it then you should be able to add it using Discover Devices. If it gets discovered, you will see something like (Device 1110) instead of Hidden Door Sensor. This simply means the App does not recognize the device type, so we will need to add support for this device in the iSmartenit APP, it should be an easy process and I will add it to the current task list.

I do not have it, but was thinking about it. There’s a few insteon sensors that would be nice to use:

    http://www.insteon.com/2843-x22-open-close-sensor.html

I didn’t see any of them on the list.

    Thanks!

That being said, I’m also wondering about zigbee compatibility and starting to play with that. I believe this:
    https://shop.smartthings.com/#/products/smartsense-multi

Uses the zigbee HA profile, does that mean I’d be able to integrate that into the Harmony?

    Thanks alot!

Yea, the App doesn’t support the INSTEON Motion Sensor, Open/Close Sensor, Water Leak Sensor and Hidden Door Sensor. We should have them supported soon. I’ll update you when we have them working.
EDIT: The App supports all the INSTEON devices mentioned above.

Regarding, the SmartSense Multi, you will be able to add it, but again, the iSmartenit App does not have a device class for it, so you will see it as an unrecognized device. I might actually happen to have one in the office, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Click here to check which devices are supported. Thanks for the suggestions, it helps us prioritize which devices need support more than others.
