I have an alarm system that will send X10 Messages on Door Events. I want the EZServe to respond to the event, and send Insteon and X10 Commands.
The Alarm System is sending X10 events to the modules successfully, as well as the EZServe can control the X10.
The Macro I set up does not seem to work. Is there any debugging or logging tools I can use to see if the EZServe is seeing the X10 event?AnonymousInactiveFebruary 22, 2008 at 3:31 pmPost count: 408
Do you have access to a windows machine? The free SHN utility can connect to the EZSrve, and you can view the traffic using that utility.
Can you send a copy of the macro database file to my email? I will be happy to review it and see if there is an error

Does the SHN Utility Show X10 Traffic?AnonymousInactiveFebruary 23, 2008 at 3:56 amPost count: 408
The SHN Utility does show X10 traffic.
We will be looking into the issue this weekend and try to figure out what may be happening.AnonymousInactiveFebruary 23, 2008 at 4:00 amPost count: 6
Where does it show X-10 traffic? I have an EZServe.AnonymousInactiveFebruary 23, 2008 at 4:06 amPost count: 408
The EZSrve has the same API as the EZBridge – you can use the utility to connect to and control the EZSrve as if it was an EZBridge.
So, you can connect on the main screen, then go to EZBridge -> EZBridge Control and from there you can observe in the lower box the traffic to / from the module.
Feel free to copy and paste the material in an email and send it to me if yo would like me to review it.
Sorry the utility isn’t better documented, though feel free to call/send an email/post if you have more questions.AnonymousInactiveFebruary 23, 2008 at 4:20 amPost count: 6
Ok, I have tested this.
It shows X10 Traffic from the EZServe. It does not show inbound X10 Traffic
I have tried sending X10 commands from
A) the Ezserve – shows up on the shn utility
B) An EzX10RF – Nothing on shn
C) My Alarm system – Nothing on shn
All of these succeede in controlling the lightsAnonymousInactiveFebruary 23, 2008 at 4:33 amPost count: 408
OK. If possible, can you try one or two other locations of the X10 device and see if you can see the signal on the EZSrve?
Also – what is the brand / model of the alarm system?AnonymousInactiveFebruary 26, 2008 at 11:19 pmPost count: 6
I moved it around without affect.
It is a GE Simon AlarmAnonymousInactiveFebruary 27, 2008 at 12:42 amPost count: 408
