When the Flash interface is loaded it retrieves a file from the EZSrve (Devices.xml) that contains the status information on each device. In the current version of this interface, the request for a “refresh” is not issued, and therefore the status may not reflect the state of the devices. We will fix this soon.
The Flash interface also has a very powerful facility. One can set a polling interval, that sets a the EZSrve to interrogate and refresh the device status at a periodic interval. This is very useful for devices such as the thermostat that do not report their status change.
Any normal change of a device triggers a cluster report from the EZSrve to the Flash client so the device icon will be automatically update. This can be seen as a scene is triggered, when you can actually see any device icons change automatically.
