I haven’t added a capacitor or shielded wire between the reed switch, but again we have a wind storm and the EZIO8SA is going wild.
I’ll switch out the wire and add a capacitor and see if that change anythng.
I had big hopes for this device, but since I installed it and added inputs I have spent 90 percent of my time troubleshooting it and 10 percent actually utilizing it.
I know most users must be happy with it, but I’ll never get another one of these again.
I’ll stick with the cheap X10 stuff as it is more reliable in my experience and requires a lot less troubleshooting. As it stands I won’t trust this to allow access through my garage or any other door. And any input it can add to my system has proven unreliable. It’s almost useless to me.
